Don't you know it?! This is our story...this is our song...etc.
Our lives have been quite busy lately. We have just exonerated ourselves from a week-long sickness that has affected everyone in the family. Last Tuesday, Landon came down w/ the stomach flu. A whole 2+ hours later, Lexy started thowing up. We had a break (if you could call it that) until Wedneday night when Kendra caught it. I woke up the next morning with it and actually took a two-day vacation (if you could call it that) for the rest of the week. Amanda's throat was bothering her all week and she went in Friday and found out she had strep throat....talk about a fun week (if you could call it that).
Everyone is finally back to normal (if you could....okay, okay enough is enough) and Amanda and I have returned to our excited and worried selves. Excited, because we have only another 2+ weeks until we get the keys to our new abode, and worried because our house has yet to not only sell but get a single offer. I ask myself daily, "Is it overpriced?" But I'm assured by coworkers and some realtors that it isn't and, in fact, is even a good value. I guess when the real estate market is flooded and 124 new listings are added for this area (meaning central oregon) in just one 24 hour period that there is just a bit of competition out there. Our biggest issue is just getting people to request a showing and put their foot in the door! But, after every panic, comes a sigh and the knowledge that God is in control and His timing should be our timing. So, with that said, on to the positives in life -
GO BLAZERS!
I wonder what are the odds?! (5.3% to be exact) Its a glorious day in "Rip City" as the Portland Trailblazers snagged the #1 pick overall in this years NBA draft and the rights to choose a possible franchise player and, here's hoping, bring the Blazers their 2nd championship and 1st in my lifetime! Sorry, but this is a pretty big thing - to me anyways!
THE KIDDOS
Landon is continuing his growing - outwards just as much if not more than upwards. Afterall, thats what healthy babies do!
He had his 9 mo. checkup recently and was in the 95th percentile for weight and the 60th for height. In fact, we even had to get out a pair of 18 mo. pajamas for him the other night.
His sensory skills are continuing to improve at a rampant pace. He is now enjoying the "pick-up game" from his high chair, "ka-bonking" daddy, and, believe it or not, playing "rollie-ball." If you don't pick up the baby growth lingo, I apologize and can demonstrate in person if need be.

Kendra is growing as well and has her last day of school on Friday. She and her sister have been at each other's throats constantly since they have moved into the same room to give Landon his own "boy" room. She will be starting Ballet in a few weeks and will also be taking a sign language class this summer. And, if you can believe it, she will be 5 on June 15th. Kendra is very excited for her "Princesses and Knights" party she will be having.
Lexy has almost completed her first year of real school (1st grade). She continues to read like a mad-woman. We received a letter from her school requesting that a questionaire be filled out to see if she is "Tiny-and-Talented," the K-2 version of TAG (Talented and Gifted). This past weekend she also was in "Sleeping Beauty," the Spring performance for her Ballet - something she continues to love and excel in. Her toothless grin is still there after she lost another tooth this past week but her two front teeth are starting to really come in so there is hope!
Ok...thats all she...errr, he wrote for now - the bed is calling. We have many updated pics of our new house that will have to wait until next post (hoping later this week)....I know the suspense is just killing you, but you have to wait anyways!
